Member Classifications

Honorary Membership

Honorary membership is awarded to deserving recipients based upon years of service and commitment to the advancement of the profession through dedicated and loyal service to the OAM. Honorary members are recognized for this distinction by the Board of Directors and are exempt from annual dues.

Full Membership

In order to qualify for Full Membership, the person must be a Massachusetts Licensed Optician in good standing. The cost for full membership dues is $75 annually, and offers full member benefits and voting privileges.

Associate Membership

Associate membership is available to apprentice opticians, student opticians and anyone whose concerns support the by-laws, goals, objectives and mission of the association. An associate member cannot be a Massachusetts licensed optician.

An Associate Member due for student opticians and apprentice opticians is $10 annually.

An Associate member due for corporate sponsors who are affiliated with the OAM as a Vendor Partner become Associate members as a benefit to the corporate sponsor program.

New England State Association Member

The OAM recognizes opticians who are full members of their NE & NY state Association. An optician who is a full member of the CT, ME. NH, NY, RI or VT Opticians Association, may attend our meetings at the member rate.
